FAQ’s

Answers to Common Questions:

  1. What takes place during the FREE Golf Consult? The FREE Golf Consult is a tool often used to determine whether a golfer is or is not a good candidate for Body Balance for Performance. During the 20 minute FREE Golf Consult, our Body Balance Golf Fitness Expert will test the candidate’s active range of motion with a golf specific screen.bbfp-center
  2. What takes place during the Golf Performance Evaluation? During the Golf Performance Evaluation, our Body Balance for Performance Fitness Expert administers a head to toe physical assessment of strength, posture, flexibility and balance. Then, a video swing analysis is done, and, lastly, the golfer is placed on the Dynamic Balance System to show their weight shifting pattern during the golf swing.
  3. What do I need to bring? The golf evaluation takes about an hour and forty-five minutes. You’ll need to dress comfortably, bring your favorite mid-iron and arrive about ten minutes prior to your appointment so that you can complete a small amount of paperwork.
  4. Will I receive a printout of my customized exercise program following the Golf Performance Evaluation? You won’t receive an exercise program following the Golf Performance Evaluation, but you’ll have a clear understanding of what physical limitations are negatively affecting your golf swing. However, if the proposed program is purchased, exercises, stretches and/or drills will be given to support what was worked on in each Body Balance for Performance session.
  5. Will the program change my golf swing? As we improve your strength, posture, flexibility and balance, your golf swing will change. With this in mind, it is extraordinarily important that you receive golf instruction from a PGA Golf Professional.
  6. If I stretch on my own, practice Yoga and/or Pilates, do I still need Body Balance for bbfp-center-2Performance? With general stretching, Yoga and Pilates, you are stretching the muscle belly itself. The technique of manual therapy we use stretches the connective tissue (also know as fascia) around the muscle to make a more permanent change in range of motion. So, if you have limited range of motion in any body part, we strongly suggest Body Balance for Performance.
  7. Will I need to come in for additional sessions once I have completed the program? It depends on your goals. Some people complete the program and continue independently, and others establish new goals and continue on with new progressions in the program.
  8. Is this program covered by insurance, or can I use my flex spending to pay for Body Balance for Performance? This program is not covered by insurance. It is a self-pay program. If you would like to independently submit receipts for the program to your flex spending account, we’ll be more than happy to generate a receipt per session for you.
  9. What are your hours of operation? We are open from 7am to 7pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in addition to 7am to 3pm on Friday.
